It is very important to maintain a healthy weight in order to prevent obesity related complications. Being overweight can increase your risk of heart disease, type II diabetes, high blood pressure and osteoarthritis. If your weight is currently over the healthy range for your height, losing weight will certainly be beneficial to your health.

If you're underweight you may need to gain some weight, this should be done as part of a balanced and nutritious diet. If your weight is in the standard range then you're eating the right amount of food. And if you're overweight for your height, try to cut down your calorie intake and do more physical activity.
